The First' The first album of the heavenly vocalists group, 8eight, the winner of [Showvival]

8eight wins the [Showvival] against V.O.S., Superkid, and Sweet Sorrow. 8eight, the grand-prix winner of [Showvival] and talented rookie band, officially debuts on August 27 releasing their first song. Showvival, a popular TV show where talented newbies undergo never-ending competitions, drama-like challenges, and impressive performances. Numerous groups, such as V.O.S., Super Kid, and Sweet Sorrow rose to fame through this show. However, the most notable among all these bands was 8eight, who had not made an official debut yet. All three members of 8eight are capable of writing songs and perform as main vocalists, something that is unprecedented in the Korean music pop scene. 8eight consists of leader Lee Hyun, who has a deep, forceful voice, multiplayer Baek Chan, who is capable of both singing and rapping, and Joo Hee, the female vocalist who used to be a dancer.

Their debut album led by the title track ‘Forget Love and Sing’ showcases each member’s unique, multi-talented personality. It also reflects the group’s passion and love for music in a variety of songs. While all three members are excellent singers, they can also transform into rappers. The trio boasting perfect harmony can at times transform into a duet or a solo performance. As the group title suggests, the album has infinite possibilities for enjoying the members’ talent and music. ‘Can I Love Again,’ which was performed on [Showvival] before the release of the first album, topped a number of music charts as soon as it was revealed and even garnered more interest than the group. The album features two songs ‘Between’ and ‘Love All Over the World’ that the members wrote, demonstrating their excellent musical skills.

In ‘Listen,’ Lim Jeong-hee, the representative Korean diva, and K. Will, the best rookie of 2007, join forces to create a perfect harmony among five singers. Rarely seen in the recent music scene, the atmosphere created by these five singers will make the listeners hold their breaths. Also, the best new group of 2007, Wonder Girls’ members Sunye and Yeeun participated in ‘Between,’ written by 8eight to add more fun to the song. V.O.S., whose talent was acknowledged as the runner-up on Showvival, also featured in ‘If Only One Day Is Left', demonstrating the friendship between the two groups.
