The 1st EP
[COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES]

BIGHIT MUSIC’s newest boy band, CORTIS, is set to release their debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES on September 8.

The album marks the group’s first step in their journey of self-discovery: an honest pursuit of what they truly want, instead of settling on what’s been handed to them. Young, bold, and unfiltered, the five members aren’t afraid to ask questions, take risks, or stumble along the way. They embrace imperfections and channel them into raw authenticity in their music.

COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES began with a single question: “What You Want?” Over the course of two years, the members wrote more than 300 songs and challenged themselves relentlessly in search of answers. As a result of their introspective journey, they carefully narrowed down five tracks that best express who they are. All five members are credited across the album, and were hands-on in the choreography and music video production.

CORTIS’ debut album features five tracks—“GO!,” a bold declaration to the world; the lead single “What You Want,” a powerful anthem voicing their intent to seize what they truly desire; “FaSHioN,” a track expressing their unique lifestyle through the theme of fashion; “JoyRide,” which captures the liberating spirit of a carefree summer day; and “Lullaby,” which offers a moment of comfort as the members lean on each other amid an uncertain future—in addition to a digital-only version of “What You Want (feat. Teezo Touchdown).” Rather than conforming to society’s expectations or fitting themselves into predetermined molds, each track reflects CORTIS’s commitment to “color outside the lines” and push boundaries with their originality.

“GO!”
Driven by a minimal trap beat and sharp synth layers, “GO!” stands out with bold originality at the crossroads of hip-hop and pop. All five members are credited on the track, delivering their first declaration to the world to paint everything in the colors of CORTIS. The release of the track’s music video kicked off their debut promotions.

“What You Want"
The lead single “What You Want” blends nostalgic guitar riffs of 1960s psychedelic rock with the gritty boom bap rhythms of hip-hop, creating a fresh, genre-bending sound. CORTIS declares their intent to claim what they want without hesitation. Lines like “What I want is something to make it race again / I mean my heart” capture the raw energy and fearless confidence of a debut group stepping into a new era. As their self-defining lead single, the track is laced with the members’ creative pursuits.

"FaSHioN"
Fusing trap with southern hip-hop flair, “FaShioN” is perfect for unleashing boundless energy. Through witty lines—“Dongmyo’s where we gather, like a seminar / Hongdae’s where we gather, we set it off”—the group shares their lifestyle and identity using fashion as a form of self-expression. From music to style, CORTIS makes it clear that they follow their own compass, not the conventional roadmap. MARTIN, JUHOON, SEONGHYEON, and KEONHO are credited on the track.
